’17 Aequorea Pinot Gris, San Luis Obispo: This wine opens with bright aromas of jasmine and citrus blossoms. On the palate this wine bursts with lemon zest, white flowers and hints of maraschino cherries. This wine is bright and lean, while the finish has soft tart notes of mandarin oil and brine. Pair this wine with pan seared seabass with a tomato-basil and caper salsa.
’15 End of Day Rhone blend, Paso Robles: On the nose this wine boasts of blackberries, pepper and licorice. This wine has a medium mouthfeel of red cherries, crushed fennel and lavander, while being framed by its lingering tannins and a delicate finish. Pair this wine with pork chipotle meatballs and creamy ricotta polenta.
’16 Lola Pinot Noir, North Coast: On the nose, this wine bursts with dense aromatic notes of macerated black cherries, bay leaves and wet soil-like earthiness. On the palate this wine-blossoms with loads of character brought by its layer composition of blueberries, toasted rosemary and hints of pencil shavings. This wine is bold but elegant and finishes with a long-lasting aftertaste. Pair this wine with wine-braised lamb shanks and roasted root vegetables.
