Sergio Motura Orvieto 2017, Umbria: This wine opens with aromas of bright citrus, apple and vanilla. The wine’s mouthfeel is soft and leads with medium body and acidity. Flavors of apple and pear, along with citrus, fresh mineral and subtle oak notes lead to a refreshing lengthy finish. Pair this wine with pan seared trout and sautéed green beans.
Fabio Oberto Barbera D’ Alba 2016, Piedmont: This wine is packed with a nose of cheerful red fruits and black pepper. On the palate, this wine expands rich with a smooth mouthfeel of ripe red berries and lingering spice. Pair this wine with chicken cacciatore.
Chappellet Mountain Cuvee 2016, Napa Valley: This wine explodes with aromas of black fruits, toffee and cedar. It’s fruity, juicy, and ripe, with a rich full body that bursts with currants and cassis, earthiness and has a long, bright and fruity finish. Pair this wine with carne asada tacos.
